TraceFinish Awareness Pet

TracePet Plus

Meet TracePet Plus: your Wi-Fi signal pet on a bigger, 2.8-inch ESP32 CYD touchscreen. It passively watches nearby 2.4GHz activity, reacts with a cute face, and keeps an on-device event log.

When the air is calm, TracePet Plus stays happy. When it sees unusual disconnect bursts, rogue-like network behavior, or heavy nearby Wi-Fi traffic, the face and screen color change so the local environment is easier to read at a glance.

What TracePet Plus Does

A tiny cyber companion that helps you notice when nearby Wi-Fi starts acting weird.

TracePet Plus is made for curious makers, tech hobbyists, home lab users, travelers, students, and anyone who wants a fun little device that makes nearby Wi-Fi activity easier to see.

Passive 2.4GHz watch

Monitors nearby 2.4GHz Wi-Fi activity without joining networks or sending traffic.

Suspicious activity cues

Watches for unusual disconnect bursts, rogue-like behavior, and heavy nearby Wi-Fi traffic.

Face and color reactions

Shows calm, watch, burst, deauth-style, and SSID flood states with a simple on-screen personality.

On-device event log

Keeps recent activity details so you can check what TracePet Plus noticed after an alert.

Lab-friendly testing

Useful for testing against your own router, lab devices, or other authorized equipment.

Simple controls

Touchscreen controls make it easy to open the event log and explore recent activity.

Use Cases

Desk, travel, home lab, shared spaces.

  • Keep it on your desk as a live Wi-Fi activity companion.
  • Bring it to hotels, dorms, coffee shops, or shared workspaces.
  • Watch for suspicious 2.4GHz behavior in your local environment.
  • Test alerts using your own router, lab devices, or authorized equipment.
  • Use it as a cyber-themed desk gadget that actually does something.

What's Included

Ready out of the box.

  • 1 TracePet Plus device in a custom 3D printed enclosure.
  • Pre-installed TracePet Plus firmware.
  • USB cable included with the ESP32 device.
  • Optional 5000mAh USB power bank, only when selected above.
  • Access to the TraceFinish web flasher for future firmware updates.
  • Setup notes and firmware instructions from TraceFinish.

Important Notes

Awareness, not protection.

It cannot secure a network by itself

TracePet Plus helps surface activity patterns. It does not stop Wi-Fi problems, block attacks, or protect devices on its own.

2.4GHz only

The current firmware monitors 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. It does not monitor 5GHz or 6GHz networks.

Busy environments can be noisy

Alerts are based on nearby activity patterns. Some events may be normal network behavior, especially in dense spaces.

External power required

This CYD version has no internal battery. Use USB power or choose the optional separate 5000mAh power bank. The original T-Display TracePet is a different product.
